中東航空的面談殺手鐧

面談中的問題常常因時因地調整問法，我們在輔導同學進入航空公司的面談準備的過程中，發現多數採取強記大量考古題、一個蘿蔔一個坑戰略的學員，面臨換個方式提問的情境，常常容易因為沒有先做好心理準備而陷入現場反應不及的恐慌。

但是一個人的特質是可以很明確「被定位」的，面談的問題可以因時因地調整，我們的資格當然也要因地制宜的換一種方式來說啊 ~ 趕快看看劉平老師在這一次的文章中要給大家什麼樣的示範 ~

面談情境：Final Interview: 2 interviewers with 1 candidate.

Interviewer A: What do you know about our home-base?

你對我們的基地有什麼認識？

Paula: Frankly speaking, my understanding of Arabic world is pretty biased due to lack of the relevant information and cultural barriers. However, I know I need to put more emphasis on my future work environment. I read all the information about our company on official site and google some living style in Doha before I came to the interview today and recognize Doha is considered as one of the developing financial centers in the Middle East, a city appreciates other culture more than it used to be. I used to be an international volunteer work with teammates from everywhere in the world for more than one year, so I’m exciting to be able to work with multi-talent again.

坦白說，我對阿拉伯世界的認識實在很有限。但我知道我必須要先了解未來的工作環境。在來面試之前，我瀏覽過公司介紹的內容，也上網搜尋了很多中東地區的生活情報。我知道現在的杜哈已經是對外來文化相當包容、高度經濟發展的城市。我曾經擔任過國際志工，跟來自世界各地的夥伴工作超過一年的時間，所以我很高興能在有機會在文化融爐的環境下工作。

Interviewer A: What is the most unforgettable experience as an international volunteer?

擔任國際志工時，有什麼難忘的回憶嗎？

Paula: Oh, there’s one thing I blush to think of what a fool I made of myself. I was doing one-week volunteer service in Tunisia during summer, I was on the way back to our dorm with my friend from France. That was a very hot afternoon and we couldn’t help to grab an ice cream. A local guy saw us eating ice cream and started to yell at us. Didn’t know what’s going on, but my French friend told me he said “how dare you to eat on the street?” We didn’t know what to do, so we ran home and told our dorm supervisor what just happened. She told us it’s Ramadan, even non-Muslims need to abide by the same rules not eat and drink in public. I learn a very important thing of cultural awareness that Islam as well is inextricably intertwined with the very fabric of Arabic society. No matter the place we visit is open-minded or observant, we need to be aware of the inner meaning of these acts and show some respect instead of criticizing their behavior.

有件事我現在想起來還是會臉紅，我在突尼西亞擔任一周暑期志工時，在下午回宿舍的路上因為實在太熱了，就跟法國朋友一起買了冰淇淋吃。街上的當地人看到我們在吃冰就對著我們大吼，我的法國朋友說，他再罵我們怎麼敢在街上吃東西。當時我覺得莫名其妙，但因為不知道該怎麼辦，只能趕快跑回宿舍告訴舍監這件事。當時舍監告訴我們，那是齋戒月期間，就算不是穆斯林也必須遵循在公開場合禁食的規定。從這件事上我學到了對不同文化的警覺性，尤其在被伊斯蘭文化深深浸淫的阿拉伯地區，不管我們造訪的地方是開放還是保守，在批評之前我們真的要理解文化差異的背後含意。

Interviewer A: Good, what other challenge you think you ‘ll face if we hire you?

很好，你覺得如果我們雇用你之後，你還會遇到什麼樣子的挑戰呢？

Paula: Instead of challenge, I would like to take it as a head-up of my future life. I know fasting can only be conducted on people who are fit in health in the day time. But I wonder will that effect our daily routine? I mean, I go to gym regularly, is that okay to go to gym in the day time? I’m afraid I might need to have some water during training. Or is that better if I go to gym in the evening?

與其說是挑戰，我認為那應該是對未來生活的提醒。我知道只有身體健康的人才需要齋戒，不過我想知道，這會不會影響到我們平常的作息？因為我有上健身房的習慣，齋戒月中可以在白天上健身房嗎？我擔心我運動的過程中可能需要補充水分，還是說晚上去健身房會比較好？

Interviewer A: Wow, you really try to settle yourself in Doha already. But don’t worry, usually……
